Food: 4.25/5

Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 4.5/5 I'm a mom (hence the catchy blogger name). I also have the mouth of a drunken sailor. Reeling that in, since the birth of my kids, has been quite the ordeal for me (obviously, I never watch Eagles games with my little ones). But sometimes, you just want to say a bad word. Enter Phuc Yea, the restaurant that gives me permission to say the "F" word (even in front of my parents 😱). It was love at first sight. Phuc Yea (I'm gonna be saying it a lot, so get ready) is located in the MiMo on BiBo district (an area than now seams to hold a bunch of my favorite restaurants, but for now let's stick to Phuc Yea). It's Vietnamese/Cajun and that funky mix works beautifully.

We started with edamame hummus. Accompanied by ginormous (yet yummy) rice crackers, this was a delicious little app.

Up next, Cajun cod bao. I LOVED this bao bun. The bun itself was soft and sweet paired with the cod which was crispy and spicy. Kicked up another notch with some sriracha...mmmm.

We had two rolls. First the salmon tartare roll. Although it was tasty, the spiciness was a bit too overpowering.

We also had the steak roll, and though it was a little spicy, the hoisin added a welcomed sweetness. The rolls were okay.

Now the main dishes, those were amazing. Let me tell you about them:

We asked for a veggie option and the server offered up some veggie fried rice. This was not your every day vegetable fried rice. This was that...on crack 😎. I can't even tell you what was in it. It had some awesome Cajun spices and it was topped with spicy mayo and of course every vegetable under the rainbow. Really really delicious.

The caramel cod was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. It was sweet yet it was bringing that umame. Yum.

We had the PY noodles. These were addicting. Egg noodles with garlic and Parmesan cheese... add some oyster sauce and dear Lord.

And then there was the cast iron lemongrass chicken. Yes yes and yes. Amazingly crispy on the outside, súper moist on the inside. And the lemongrass 😍 I love lemongrass in all it's forms. From food to candles to soap. Thank you lemongrass for existing. Get this dish.

After all that eating, dessert was up. First a banana bread pudding with coconut and condensed milk. This dessert is everything that is right and good in the world. Moist and rich and ridiculous.

Then for good measure we also ordered churros with chocolate AND condensed milk. I see a trend Phuc Yea and I like it. Definitely coming back for more. Address: 7100 Biscayne Boulevard, Miami, FL
