Food: 4.5/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 4.25/5 Food makes me happy (pretty sure that's been established) and few types of food make me happier than Thai food. Naiyara (with Chef Bee at the helm) is one of my happy places, so when we decided to go out post-hurricane Irma, this was a no-brainer. Food (and friends) that feeds the soul ❤️

We began with spring rolls. Spring rolls are delicious, it's just a fact. But these bad boys, wrapped in crunchy rice paper, are awesome. Crunchy outside, filled with all sorts of awesome veggies plus glass noodles (if you've been reading my posts, you know how I feel about noodles). Then go ahead and dip that in a yummy Thai chili sauce. Great start.

Next up, beef jerky. Weird beef jerky texture, awesomely elevated beef jerky taste. Not something I would have ordered, but that friend who knows exactly what to order every time made us do it. So glad she did 🙏🏼

We also ordered the Thai street dumplings. Much like spring rolls, dumplings are just awesome. But FRIED dumplings are awesome-er (go with it). Deliciously crunchy, filled with chicken, served in some kind of super tasty sauce. Yes please.

One of my favorite vegetables ever served anywhere are Naiyara's crispy bok choy. The first time I came to Naiyara a friend told me these were a must have and I was sure she was kidding. Bok choy a must have? Yes a MUST HAVE. You'll stab your significant other with your fork for that last crunchy bite dipped in that insane sauce.

The winner of the appetizer round though was the aptly named dumpling king (because yes it is). Filled with wagyu beef and served with cauliflower paste and truffle honey (I actually scraped it up with my knife 🙈). Yum yum and more yum.

On to the sushi roll portion of the menu: first came the shoma roll. Tuna, cucumber, avocado, and jalapeño topped with tuna tataki. Very tasty, but let me tell you about the Naiyara roll.

Pictures do not do it justice. I literally think about this roll for days after I've eaten it. I'd be willing to say it's one of my favorite sushi rolls ever created and the truth is it's quite simple. Salmon belly, cucumber, and avocado topped with salmon belly brûlée (what in the world) and then to perfect it all they add some truffle oil. The salmon belly is so fatty and so beautiful and so delicious. Not sure who thought to use the belly but wow. Love. This. Roll.

Our server recommended the boot camp roll as well. Steak and chimichurri on the inside, tuna, yellowtail and salmon on the outside. It was interesting and it was tasty but it wasn't the Naiyara roll 😍.

For the main dishes we started with the skirt steak. Perfectly marinated perfectly cooked and then topped with CRISPY BOK CHOY. It was baaaaaack. Delicious.

The pad see eew. One of my favorite thai dishes and Naiyara does it beautifully. This dish was all flavor. And noodles 😍

And then it arrived: sea bass in green curry (be still my heart). If you must, skip everything else (except the Naiyara roll and crispy bok choy...don't even consider skipping those) but you need to have the green curry. It'll make you a better person. I'm telling you. The curry itself is sweet with a kick. And the sea bass. Oh the sea bass. It just melts in your mouth. Lord almighty.

The desserts were okay. We had a Thai tea millle-feuille. Meh.

And a milk chocolate pot de creme with chocolate puffed rice and ginger. Much yummier, still the food is better. Fourth time in Naiyara, fourth time I've had an amazing dinner. Will be back several times over. Address: 1854 Bay Rd, Miami Beach, FL
