Once a month (or so) I go for coffee with my soul sisters . The Alchemist in Wilton Manors has kind of become our spot. The reason? THEIR ICED COFFEE

I’ve told you I love food but what I haven’t mentioned is that I absolutely OBSESSS over coffee.

If you love coffee the way I do, The Alchemist is a groovy little find. They were chosen by the New Times as 2016’S BEST COFFEE SHOP OF BROWARD AND PALM BEACH COUNTIES. That’s pretty sweet. And it’s also apparent why the minute you taste their iced coffee. But let me not get ahead of myself.

Their coffee is special because they use the siphon method (if you want a detailed explanation, everyone who works there is excited to tell you all about why this method is so amazing). I however can only tell you how it makes the coffee taste.

I’ve had their normal house brew and although it’s different, it’s not really up my alley. It has a very mild taste (I drink Cuban coffee so mild is not exactly my preference) so basically it’s tasty but not what I come back for.

Their iced coffee though I could write an ode to (and will now procede to do just that). Let’s start by the fact that their ice cubes are made of coffee not water (genius) so no matter how hot it is in South Florida and how quickly the ice melts, the coffee never gets watered down (there needs to be a Nobel Prize awarded for this). The other winning factor? They use condensed milk to sweeten it (I know, ridiculous). So the result is a complete and absolute treat. If you love delicious coffee, make sure you get to this place.
